The Crisis Centre has been providing emotional support to youth, adults and seniors in distress since 1969. As a safe place to turn when there seems to be no hope, the Crisis Centre is operated by 350+ front line volunteers and a small team of professional staff who support and empower individuals to see their own strengths and options, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The BWSS Crisis & Intake Line is staffed by trained workers. BWSS Crisis & Intake Line workers are knowledgeable and compassionate. They are available to provide emotional support, information about resources in the community, to help evaluate coping and provide specific information about coping and to help create a safety plan for women who are dealing with violence and/or the effects of abuse.
